Description
In honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, the New Jersey Chapter of Ascend has partnered with the New Jersey Performing Arts Center to co-produce a special evening of NJPAC's long-running social justice conversation series Standing in Solidarity focused on the Asian American experience.
The event includes a screening of the award-winning documentary Far East Deep South, the PSEG True Diversity Film selection, about a Chinese American family’s search for their roots and the discovery of an immigrant community in the South in the wake of the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882.
